Santo Domingo - February 5th, 2016: It’s within a particularly favorable context for the economic cooperation between France and Dominican Republic that the CCI Franco-Dominicana asked his members to attend its General Assembly last Friday.

In fact, as you could read in the press, during the past weeks several french companies have confirmed huge investments in the country. All these companies are members of the CCI Franco-Dominicana.

During his welcome address to the members, President Joan Giacinti declared that dynamism of the cooperation between both countries should be welcomed, and he remembered the audience the main assignment of the CCI: to help french and dominican companies to connect and develop.

The presentation of the 2015 results allowed to put forward several important actions: the complete reorganization of the executive team in order to develop the internal dynamism; the confirmation of several agreements with Montpellier Business School, PromoSalons and CCI France International; various successful participations to the Feria Agroalimentaria 2015, Maison & Objet in Miami, Asonahores and the collaboration with EuroCámara. Furthermore, the willing to develop relations between the community of 300 members has been reaffirmed.

About the social activities, the traditional Beaujolais Nouveau which took place in the plaza Acropolis Center and the Noche de Francia have been two 2015 major events for the CCIFD.

The 2016 program presentation has permitted to announce several very important events: the participation in commercial fairs, about 6 Business Clubs and of course the prestigious « Semana de Francia » which will take place by the end of next October.

As a conclusion of the Assembly, the election of the new board was held. The list leaded by President Joan Giacinti has been reelected for a new 3 years mandate. In this new board we can count with the presence of some prestigious national and international institutions and companies such as the Agencia Francesa de Desarrollo, Total, Thales, Banco Popular, Vinci, Carrefour, Pernod Ricard, Altice,  Sofratesa,  Air Caraibes, Hache…
